BMSI Southern Region support UK Defence estate via VINCI’s MoD contract

Covering multiple Ministry of Defence sites, BMSI continues to grow its Support and PPM contract with new customer, VINCI Facilities.

After being awarded one of four regional contracts to manage the MoD Built Estate, VINCI has maintained and expanded BMSI’s Support and PPM contract, growing the portfolio of estates that BMSI Southern currently looks after. Previously working with Amey Defence, BMSI has worked on this project for over 10 years, covering several prestigious RAF, Army and Military bases across the South of England.

Awarded the FDIS (Future Defence Infrastructure Services) contract as part of a 3-year deal with VINCI Facilities, and supported through the defence supply chain, BMSI’s core contract will help improve the service delivered for service men and women throughout the UK. Plus, with VINCI Facilities set to provide circa £1.1Bn worth of FM services in the South East of England to the MoD for the next seven years, BMSI solidifies its role in providing essential, intelligent preventative maintenance and modernisation of the MoD’s buildings, facilities and infrastructure.

Speaking on behalf of the entire £1.6 billion investment initiative to upgrade the UK Defence estate, Minister for Defence Procurement Jeremy Quinn said:

‍“Helping to modernise and transform the Defence estate, the programme will also support thousands of jobs across the UK.” Not only that, but the new South East region contract, won by VINCI Facilities, has a structure rooted in contributing to the better development of operational capability and in taking a more collaborative approach to the management of the MoD’s Built Estate.
