BMSI delighted with Samsung win
The BMSI major projects team have been awarded the contract for the Samsung Retail Store at Coal Drops Yard. Located in the heart of King's Cross, boasting a picturesque canal-side setting, Victorian architecture and surrounded by newly designed public squares, Coal Drops Yard brings something entirely different to London’s retail and leisure scene.
BMSI will be installing a Trend IQ4 system with IQVision front end supervisor, and whilst this is a retail space, it has the plant specification of a main building.BMSI Director James Smith, is thrilled with the win and discusses the complexities of the project here:
“This is an ideal venture for BMSI to be involved in and joins a long list of high-profile projects for the team this year. The space at Coal Drops Yard has the added difficulty of its suspended structure and open ceilings, resulting in services not being shared by the two halves, effectively requiring two systems. This is a challenging venture, but one that BMSI are very much looking forward to taking on at full speed, and welcome many more in its wake.”
